But, truly, I have wept too much! The Dawns are heartbreaking. Every moon is atrocious and every sun bitter.

History has demonstrated that the most notable winners usually encountered heartbreaking obstacles before they triumphed. They won because they refused to become discouraged by their defeats.

I want that which is hilarious and that which is heartbreaking to occupy the same territory in the book because I think they very often occupy the same territory in life, much as we try to separate them.

If you're interested or like it, but could be just as happy living in a regular town, having a regular job, maybe doing little theater, you're better off and you'll be a happier person. This is too gut-wrenching and heartbreaking.

It might have been easier to retire, to say my knee couldn't handle it and let that be that. At the same time, the prospect of not being able to compete in gymnastics anymore was heartbreaking.

It's heartbreaking but we're trying to get over it. As disappointed as we were, I think that somehow you have to find a way to think that it happened for a reason.
